Going viral for the first time convinced me even more that authenticity will always win against the algorithm. At least for the type of growth I'm looking for as I restart my life in 2026.
This is really interesting. The same thing happened to me on Instagram. I was taking a month to "slow down" and live by myself. I wanted to reflect deeply. But reflecting deeply created a huge lift. I think authenticity is what the gurus miss!
Such a candid and honest read, and you’ve reminded me why I writing on this platform.
As a retired accountant, I am programmed to gather data, make sense of it, and take action.
But I didn’t come here to do that and it’s totally cool if others do. I just want to get stuff out of my head and into the world. Thanks for the reminder.
Whenever I read your articles, my mind is repeating: "This is how I feel. This is how I think. This is valuable because it's real and raw". 😍 Which is why I'm really excited for the next month's theme and that special guest!
It's a refreshing read for sure, I too couldn't handle another growth strategy, good to know the guru advice is BS and perhaps we can slow down and focus on creating a meaningful blog rather then chasing...which feels exhausting!
100%!! Depending on our growth goals. And mine is sure not to chase “fast growth” but more to connecting with new people 💙 thank you for reading, Katerina! Rooting for YOUR own pace of growth :)
This is a very refreshing read (I'm nor sure I can handle another growth guru article in my feed 😂). Looking forward to April's courage to be disliked theme! I'm launching my own business in April and my knowledge on stress regulation and the damaging take on hustle=resilience in entrepreneurship might create some havoc in my fairly big network of entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship educators 🫣
Thanks Mariel! I feel the same way (re growth guru)! And excited to share April contents 😊 it’s a topic that I’m still trying to unlearn consciously myself. Looking forward to connecting then 💙
I am so sick of algorithms! Creating out of authenticity is what truly matters. Creating what you love, when and where feels right and forming a community of like minded people is way more important than metrics 💚
soul! It's like you were putting words to my thoughts! I especially resonated with this:
"Weekly writing helped me sharpen my thinking and finally gave me a space to explore my own ideas more deeply." That's me too and I'm doing it authentically. Thank you for reinforcing authenticity over discipline and push!
Yeay! I'm so glad it resonated, Karen. I'm ultra glad to know I'm not alone in this because the online world definitely needs more authentic people! Thank you <3

Yup! That’s also what I feel the gurus have missed :) thank you for giving this a read, Helen!

I’m so glad it resonated with you! We’re similar in our goals: get stuff out of my head and into the world :) Rooting for you!

Omg thank you so much, Tina 🙌🏼🥹 I am SO glad it resonates with you!! Hope you like the next ones 💙
That very note is what has just brought me to your space. I love how the Substack algorithm works ♥️
I’m glad you’re here, Bex 💙

Great post, Annisa!
Yes! In the big year of 2026, authenticity is kindda rare (at least in my feeds), so it's refreshing to go against it! Thank you, Yana <3
