The Responsibility of Dreaming Big
The universe rewards courage and showing up. But first, you have to shed the beliefs that got you here to make room for the ones that will take you there.
When I’m ready, I will be able to achieve my dreams.
We’ll never be ready; ready comes to you step by step. The time will never feel right. Your dream doesn’t happen as a breakthrough over one night, but a result of compounding effort. Some days your effort is 150%, some days 20%. Some days 0%. that’s okay, because progress isn’t linear.
Here’s the thing: the universe rewards the courage and audacity to show up.
Your dream doesn’t happen to you or for you. Your dream happens through individual effort, belief in yourself, asking for help, pausing when you need to, and making space for what’s trying to emerge.
You can’t rush the shedding
To achieve big, you have to bear the responsibility of that big dream. This means shedding old beliefs to make room for new ones.
Your old beliefs helped you get here. They moved you from “I can’t” to “I can.” But to go further, you need new beliefs. And eventually, even those will need to be shed, the cycle continues.
We cannot skip the shedding. Part of making the dream happen is letting go of the old and making space for the new. It won’t always look beautiful and it definitely won’t be comfortable. But it will take you closer to where you actually want to be. There is simply no other way around it.
The point is to feel content with your own pace during this shedding period. Not performing, not comparing. Just authentically you, doing the work only you can do.
Let’s pause for a second and build your path
Dreaming big without a plan is wishful thinking. It’s blind. Dreaming big without effort is fantasy.
Some people will have advantages you don’t, some will reach their dreams faster, and that’s the reality. But the more you focus on their journey, the less energy you have for yours. Because comparison is the thief of joy.
Which means your path to your dream will also be completely unique, your own.
So let’s pause here and ask yourself:
Why do I want this dream? What would it mean to me if it came true?
What are 3 things I need to prioritize to get closer - and how long will it realistically take?
What small efforts can I commit to weekly that will move these priorities forward?
The dream chose you. Now choose it back, one imperfect step at a time.
You are ready to achieve it the moment you dream it.
